"Marriage Tablet"
Note: This is apparently in reference to the text beginning "Before choosing a wife a man must think soberly" in Star of the West, vol. 11, issue 1, p. 20
The "so-called" Marriage Tablet is not a Tablet but an unauthenticated talk (which the friends may use, but it should not be seen as Scripture and should not be printed in a compilation of prayers and Tablets)[edit]
"With regard to your question concerning the so-called Marriage Tablet printed on page 47 of the supplement of the British Prayer Book, this is not a Tablet, but a talk ascribed to the Master by Mirza Ahmad Sohrab. It was given some time in December, 1918 about Sohrab's marriage. It cannot be regarded as Bahá'í scripture as 'nothing can be considered as scripture for which we do not have an original text,' as the beloved Guardian pointed out. The friends may use this talk, but it is not to be considered as scripture."

"Concerning the authenticity of this Tablet [Marriage Tablet attributed to 'Abdu'l-Bahá] attributed to the Master, a letter dated 30 June 1987, written on behalf of the Universal House of Justice, stated:
"We are instructed to say that this is not a Tablet, but an unauthenticated record by Ahmad Sohrab of a talk by 'Abdu'l-Bahá. The friends may use it, but it should be made clear that this is not Scripture and it should not be printed in a compilation of prayers and Tablets."
