Bahá'u'lláh's name in the Bible

Christ shall come in the glory of His Father[edit]

“For the Son of Man shall come in the glory of His Father with His angels...”

(Matthew 16:27)

Note[edit]

  • Bahá’u’lláh means “Glory of God.”
  • “Glory of the Lord” appears 37 times in the Old Testament and three times in the New Testament.

Carmel shall see the glory of the Lord[edit]

“The glory of Lebanon shall be given to it, the majesty of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the Lord, the majesty of our God.”

(Isaiah 35:2)

  • Carmel is the mountain where Bahá’u’lláh walked with 'Abdu'l-Bahá to direct where the Shrine of the Báb was to be built and the Plain of Sharon lies at the foot of Mt Carmel.

The Glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east[edit]

“And behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east.”

(Ezekiel 43:1)
