Relationship of categorizations in Bahá'í Writings with scientific taxonomies[edit]
The Bahá'í Writings have categorized phenenoma into different "kingdoms" for the sake of ease of categorization. There is nothing to suggest these categorizations are intended to in any way override scientifically based taxonomies. Their use has often been to use nature to teach spiritual examples (e.g., the plant representing the capacity for physical growth and our need for spiritual growth or growth in our communities, etc.).
