Jesus being the same forever in the Bible

Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever[edit]

"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever."

(Heb 13:8)

Note[edit]

(The divine Christ existed from the beginning)[edit]

“Before Abraham was, I am.”

(John 8:58)

“In the Beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

(John 1:1)

Note[edit]

  • The physical body of Christ did not exist from the beginning, however, as He was born. His physical body also changed.
  • Bahá’u’lláh is thus the Return of this divine Christ also, not the physical form.
  • Christ as the Word of God changed the Word of God given to the Jews by changing the Laws of Moses even though Deuteronomy 4:2, Deuteronomy 12:32) forbids changing the Word of God.
  • Therefore Jesus both in physical form and as the Word of God has changed. However, the Divine Christ and His spiritual teachings have always existed are always the same and exist in Bahá’u’lláh Who is the Return of Christ, and Who made the same claim for the eternal nature of His teachings. See [[Spiritual laws abide while social laws change]]

(The divine Christ has come and gone in the world many times)[edit]

“But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that who is to be ruler in Israel, whose goings forth have been from of old, and from everlasting.”

(Micah 5:2)

Note[edit]

  • Though Christ did not come with the same physical form previously, Christ is, in His Essence, the same yesterday, today and forever as Christ is Moses, Bahá’u’lláh, and all Manifestations as they have the same spiritual identity yet different physical forms.
