Not adding to the Scriptures in the Bible
(The Bible has some verses appearing to prohibit future additions to the Word of God)[edit]
“...preach any other gospel...let him be accursed...”
“If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book.”
“Till heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot will pass from the Law until all is accomplished.”
Note[edit]
Book of Revelation (95-96 A.D.), Galatians (50-60 A.D.) and Matthew were written well before the Gospel of John (130 A.D.), 2 Peter (150 A.D.), James (200 A.D.), 1 Timothy (185 A.D.) and 2 Timothy (185 A.D.), and other books of the Bible. (Source: The New Testament and Early Christianity by J. B. Tyson).
Therefore the New Testament itself contains much revelation revealed after the Book of Revelation and Galatians and Matthew.
Since Bahá’u’lláh is the Return of Christ, His Gospel (Revelation) is the same Gospel of Christ as in the New Testament and is not “another” Gospel.
(The Old Testament forbids altering or adding to the Old Testament so a literal reading would disallow the New Testament as Scripture)[edit]
“You shall not add to the word which I command you nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.”
“...What thing so ever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.”

“...He shall teach us His ways...”
