[edit]Public discussions should conform to 'Abdu'l-Bahá's talks in covering the topics He covered
[edit]As for the matter of the public meeting, it is approved but must conform to my talks. All discussions should be about the oneness of the human world, the removal of religious and sectarian prejudices, and efforts toward fellowship and elimination of misunderstandings between religions - just as I spoke in the Jewish synagogue in America. And you should speak of the teachings of Baha'u'llah as I do: first, the independent investigation of truth; second, the oneness of humanity; third, that religion must be the cause of fellowship and love - otherwise it is not religion but rather a calamity for humanity, and irreligion is better than such religion - and so forth through the teachings which are detailed in my talks. This content belongs to Provisional translations, translations which have not yet been authoritatively approved.

The basis of the Call [i.e., teaching and delivering addresses] must be the Oneness of the world of humanity...This must be the basis of your addresses in public meetings. This content belongs to Provisional translations, translations which have not yet been authoritatively approved.

Regarding the Mashriqu'l-Adhkar in Washington - certainly if public meetings are organized, it will cause the spread of the Cause of God. In those public gatherings, general matters should be discussed, not specific ones. The exact same topics that I discussed in public gatherings should be mentioned, namely: the oneness of humanity, independent investigation of truth, the unity of the foundation of divine religions, abandonment of religious, sectarian, racial and national prejudices, conformity of religion with reason and science, religion being the cause of fellowship and love between people (otherwise its abandonment is preferable), equality between men and women, necessity of confirmation from the Holy Spirit, proving the existence of God and divine revelation, the penetrating power of Baha'u'llah, unity between religions, the dawning of the Sun of Truth from the horizon of Iran, universal peace, universal language, and education of children of all religions in one school with one curriculum. Such matters should be discussed in public meetings. Consult with Mrs. Parsons and other friends about all these matters and make arrangements accordingly. This content belongs to Provisional translations, translations which have not yet been authoritatively approved.
